Empowering communities to succeed

Mercy Compassionate Centre is a nonprofit organization started in the year 2008 by a group of individuals who have lived in the community and understand the problems the community members undergo.

The organization aims to promote, advocate and protect the rights of orphans and Vulnerable Children and the community members.

The organization is registered with the Non Governmental Organizations Board. Certificate No. OP/218/051/2007/0508/5076

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children, and international frameworks such as the Sustainable Development Goals, are the foundations of our programme and advocacy work.

Charitable Children Institution

Every child has the right to survive, grow, develop, and participate. According to the UN Convention Rights of the Child, Mercy Compassionate Center promotes and advocates for child protection aspects.

Health & HIV/AIDS Advocacy

We seek to contribute to the national and global goals of reducing new HIV/AIDS infections. Our fight against the disease focuses on Community and school-based HIV prevention, awareness and stigma reduction.

Economic Empowerment

This is geared towards promoting inclusive and equitable economic growth among targeted beneficiaries and seek to ensure that the poor and vulnerable participate in and benefit from financially viable growth.

Education Facilities

Every child has a right to quality basic education. In this program we connect a child with a sponsor in the most strategic way to enhance a child's educational pathway according to their unique potentials.

Widows & Senior Citizens

We support widows and senior citizens in the community through various programs that help them live with dignity and access basic needs for their wellbeing.

Mercy Ministries Fellowship

Our spiritual ministry nurtures faith and provides a community of believers dedicated to worship, fellowship, and spreading the message of hope and compassion.
